When clinically appropriate, a prescription may be sent to a licensed compounding pharmacy. Some patients need a customized compounded medication when an available FDA-approved product does not meet their individual needs. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not evaluate them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Ryan will discuss options, risks, benefits, and alternatives before anything is ordered. Medication, labs, and shipping are separate from the consultation fee and quoted in writing first.
